Hadramout: Reviews & Ratings
This is hands down my favorite restaurant in Philly. The lamb haneeth is my go-to, it’s flavorful, seasoned perfectly, and falls off the bone. I could eat this every day for the rest of my life. The lamb soup is simple, hot, and delicious - exactly what I want in a soup. Pair it with the bread and hummus and you will be cured of any sickness. No matter what meal you get, you must get the bread. It’s only $2 and will change your life. I recently ordered the fassolia and when it came out it looks like just a plate of beans. But after a single bite i was addicted. They’re silky, spiced, flavorful, and would be a great appetizer or entree. You cannot go wrong with anything on this menu.
Amazing food. Makes you forget you need to chew, so good. If you are in and around the area and like good quality slow cooked meat, come here! Very friendly and hospitable staff as well.
A nice spot, rather informal but still fun. We split the lamb glaba, which was fairly good, and the fahsah, which came with large flatbread and was really good. You do have to pay for water. Our server was helpful and easy to talk to. Overall I'd say its a fun ethnic spot to visit. They did some weird stuff with the bill- I think they charged the credit card tax ahead of time on everything regardless of payment method, so be aware of that.
The best Yemeni restaurant in Philly! Me and my family love it here! Kindest owner.
Hadramout is one of my favorite places in west Philly to get food from!! The food is amazing, well priced, and the service is phenomenal. Every time I go there I feel as if I was eating in the comfort of my own home!! If you ever pass by I highly recommend you grab a bite to eat!
I visited Hadramout Restaurant yesterday, and the experience was truly satisfying. I ordered the lamb with rice along with their bone soup, and both dishes exceeded my expectations. The lamb was tender, juicy, and full of rich flavor. It was perfectly cooked, not dry at all, and had a nice balance of spices that made every bite enjoyable. You could really taste the traditional Yemeni-style seasoning, which made the dish feel authentic and comforting. The rice was light, fluffy, and well-seasoned, pairing beautifully with the lamb. It absorbed the meat’s flavor and juices, making the whole plate even more delicious. The portion size was generous, and I felt it was great value for the price. I also tried the bone soup, and it was excellent. The broth was warm, rich, and nourishing, with a deep flavor that felt both healthy and satisfying. It’s the kind of soup that makes you feel refreshed and energized, especially on a cold day. The atmosphere inside the restaurant was calm and welcoming, and the staff were polite and attentive. Service was smooth, and my food arrived in good time. Everything was clean and well-organized, which added to the positive experience. Overall, my visit to Hadramout Restaurant was memorable. If you enjoy traditional Middle Eastern or Yemeni food, especially well-cooked lamb and comforting soups, this place is definitely worth visiting. I will surely come back again and recommend it to friends and family.
Wow! I ate here with a friend for dinner, and we loved it. We got one lamb dish and one chicken dish. Whatever the bread was that was served with the meal - it’s divine. Everything was delicious and reasonably priced. Our server was also so kind and thoughtful. Can’t wait to come back!
